In 1800, John McCann built a mill on the Nanny River at Beaumond on the
east coast of Ireland. The steel cut oats that he milled earned multiple
awards over the course of that century and into the next. In 1964, the
Irish company Odlums acquired McCann's and moved the steel cut oats
production to their own mills. Odlums also produces Irish bread mixes and
has recently begun to distribute them under the McCann's name in the
United States. We carry their traditional Irish Brown Bread, which is
unforgettable when topped with a drizzle of Lyle's Golden Syrup. The
